PUBLIC DATA, WITH ITS CONTEXT
Take the numbers.
Keep the provenance.
Download the normalized snapshot or select a county or race for a focused CSV. Every row carries its geographic scope, snapshot timestamp, and source type.
Choose the right denominator.
The whole-contest CSV contains one record per candidate/choice per whole contest. It does not repeat county breakouts. County exports contain only that county’s eligible-contest records. Neither export should be summed across contests to estimate ballot turnout.
What is included.
Contest identity, candidate/choice name, party, total votes, calculated share, voting-method counts, number of allowed choices, ED precinct reporting, unofficial status, and collection time. JSON retains source receipts and media supplement flags. Blank choice names are preserved as supplied in machine-readable data and labeled explicitly on screen.
